F-27 Panel Description
1. This aircraft
is equipped with an HSI as a VOR/ILS/DME indicator/HDG AP controller.
a. For ILS or VOR indication, click on the white
T knob (lower right) to change the orientation of the main needle. For an ILS approach this should be set to the
runway heading, for VOR following to the desired VOR radial. The upper right window gives a digital
display of this value.
When the center needle centers you are on the localizer
(ILS) or radial (VOR). ILS glidslope
information is along the left center edge.
b. The upper left window displays the NAV1 DME.
c. Click the yellow triangle knob (lower left)
to alter the heading value when in AUTOPILOT mode in the autopilot (light is
green).
2. Click the up arrow
button to go to the overhead panel.
